We are proud to introduce Dr. Joseph Modica as our esteemed Artistic Director. Joseph Modica is Director of the School of Performing Arts and the Conservatory of Music at the University of Redlands, Director of Music at the First Presbyterian Church of Redlands, and Artistic Director of the Inland Master Chorale. Dr. Modica earned a Bachelor of Music degree in conducting from Chapman University, a Master of Music degree from California State University Long Beach, and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Music from the University of Southern California. His profound knowledge in conducting and voice was further shaped by studying with notable figures like William Hall, William Dehning, and Louis Lebherz. With a decade of high school choir teaching and leadership roles in various high-profile musical endeavors, Dr. Modica has demonstrated his exceptional ability in directing choirs to superior ratings and prestigious performances, including singing for Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI. His choirs have toured globally, gracing venues from Carnegie Hall to the Basilicas in Italy, and have performed with prominent artists and orchestras, reflecting his commitment to offering students unparalleled performance experiences. As a conductor, educator, and artistic visionary, Dr. Modica’s dedication to the choral arts and student development in music is truly inspirational.
